Whiteboard animation videos are the perfect way to simplify a complex idea so that it is better understood by consumers. During this process, an artist is recorded drawing a story on a whiteboard. Some whiteboard videos show a person, many times the artist, standing in front of a whiteboard. Other types of whiteboard videos show the hand that is drawing the animation, and others just show the drawings appearing line by line, through a time-lapse. Once the artist completes the drawing, the video is animated, and perfected using special video software. Then the audio, visuals, and animation must be perfectly synced so that the story flows smoothly. Oftentimes, whiteboard videos are referred to as explainer videos.
