NAB makes first recovery in fake accounts scam

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Rawalpindi, made a first recovery in the fake bank accounts scam with recovering a plot worth Rs600 million from an accused Younas Kidwai, sources in the Rawalpindi NAB, said.According to NAB sources, Younas Kidwai, against whom the reference was filed in the Accountability Court on Wednesday, is facing a charge of getting allotment of a plot reserved for a temple and library and surrendered the plot to Rawalpindi NAB.NAB had filed an intermediate reference on Wednesday against Younas Kidwai and 8 other accused before he surrendered his property.Sources alleged Younas Kidwai was also business partner of a top politician in a real estate deal.It is to be mentioned here that the Executive Board of NAB on Tuesday also approved filing another reference in the Accountability Court against Chief Executive of Omni Group of Companies Khawaja Abdul Ghani Majeed and others for their alleged involvement in fake accounts case and allegedly regularising 7 acres of state land, which inflicted Rs1.422 billion loss to the national exchequer.The sources in the NAB said the reference would be filed in the Accountability Courts in the coming days.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/cwEr/~4/PrIBYulQCP4
