LAHORE: Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that India’s war frenzy was still there, and Narendra Modi can do another misadventure before general election to win more seats. Addressing a seminar at Jamia Naeemia on Sunday, he paid glowing tributes to the armed forces of Pakistan and declared the PAF pilots pride of the nation who shot down the intruding Indian fighter jets.The Pakistan Muslim League-N leader said the significance of freedom could well be explained by the mothers of Kashmiris who had been burying the bodies of their children in the occupied Valley.Hamza said that saving the country from the cancer of sectarianism was a need of the hour, and it was possible only through collective efforts. He said we could not become one nation until sectarianism was curbed in the country.Hamza Shahbaz, on the occasion, also shared his memories at Jamia Naeemia and paid rich tribute to the late Allama Sarfaraz Naeemi. He said that head of Jamia Naeemia, Raghib Hussain Naeemi, was like a brother to him.Raghib Naeemi, in his address on the occasion, said that no crackdown was under way on mosques or madrasas. He said action was under way only against the extremist mindset, which gave rise to terrorism. He said Pakistan had rendered remarkable sacrifices in the war against terrorism and around 70,000 of its citizens lost their lives.A group of PML-N workers from Lahore staged a protest demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club on Sunday to press the government for providing treatment facilities to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
