ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy, while demonstrating high state of preparedness and professionalism, blocked an Indian Navy submarine from entering into Pakistani waters. The submarine was detected and localised in Pakistan maritime zone on March 04 (Monday), the Directorate of Public Relations, Pakistan Navy, said in a statement on Tuesday.Sequel to Indian Air Force intrusion into Pakistani air space, India continues to embark upon a series of provocative actions against Pakistan. The Indian Navy has deviously deployed its submarines against Pakistan in line with Indian nefarious designs. “However, the Pakistan Navy detected and blocked an Indian Navy submarine from entering into Pakistani waters,” said the statement. The submarine could have been easily engaged and destroyed had it not been Pakistan’s policy to exercise restraint in the face of Indian aggression and to give peace a chance to prevail. However, the submarine is being kept under watch along with monitoring of other Indian Navy units. The detected submarine is one of the latest submarines of Indian Navy.It is the second incident of the sort that Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine in Pakistani waters. Previously, on November 14, 2016, Pakistan Navy caught Indian Navy submarine operating in Pakistani Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).The incident vividly reflects high vigilance and competence of Pakistan Navy. “It also reflects the commitment and resolve of Pakistan Navy to defend geographical frontiers of the motherland in sync with Pakistan Army and Air Force,” the statement said.Meanwhile, talking to a private television channel, former Commander Pak Navy Fleet Vice Admiral (R) Arifullah Hussaini said it is always very difficult to detect a submarine of enemy.“Detection of the Indian submarine reflects non-professionalism of their crew and high capability of our professional Navy,” he said.He said only solution to tension between the two countries lies in peaceful solution of Kashmir issue. It may be pointed out that the Pakistan’s sea boundary went beyond 200 nautical miles reaching to 350 nautical miles after the United Nations Maritime Commission after completing its review, accepted Pakistan’s claim regarding increase in territorial waters in March, 2016.Pakistan’s maritime boundaries also increased from 240,000 square kilometres to 290,000 square kilometres.Meanwhile, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari while appreciating the Pakistan Navy for detecting an Indian submarine condemned the Indian violation. She appreciated the Pakistan Navy for exposing the covert and furtive adventurism by India. The minister said the Modi government has been fully exposed. She said whole the nation stands united with the armed forces.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/cwEr/~4/VZZIzf8D0OY
