Every year, Apple challenges iPhone users to take beautiful pictures using nothing but the cameras on their phones. And while most of us mere mortals think snapping a pic of a bagel in portrait mode counts as capital-P “Photography,” there are photo gods among us who capture truly breathtaking scenes with the devices in their hands. The following 10 photos were judged the winners of Apple’s 2019 “Shot on iPhone” challenge, representing multiple countries and different iPhone generations—even an iPhone 7.
