Govt making PAC controversial: Khursheed

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Khursheed Shah Monday accused the government for deliberately making attempts to turn the image of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) controversial.“The Public Accounts Committee in the last Parliamentary decade performed best but it was first time that the government is making this forum controversial and politicised,” he said talking with the media on Monday.Shah said the PTI, being in opposition and being in government, destroyed the institutions but being a responsible opposition “we will not allow the government to compromise the prestige of the PAC”. He said, “The PTI government is also raising finger on NAB, which is their another U-turn.”He said the PTI used to clap on the performance of the NAB but with just one arrest it is saying the NAB was targeting business community.He said the attitude of the PTI shows that it incapable not only in governance but also in the politics.
