MANILA, Philippines â?? It’s an eventful day off the courtآ*for the NBA as the February 7 (February 8 Manila Time) trade deadline nears.

Teams have been negotiating and closing deals left and right, with big transactionsآ*already in the books like Kristaps Porzingis heading to the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers shipping off Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic to Philly in exchange for some much needed draft picks.

With a little more than a day left before the deadline, the trades haven’t stopped coming.آ*

In perhaps the biggest piece of trade news Thursday, the struggling Washington Wizards traded 2013 NBA Draft third overall pick Otto Porter Jr. to the Chicago Bulls. After losing John Wall to a non-game related injury, losing Porter could only mean more challenging times for Washington fans.

In exchange, Chicago sent Bobby Portis, Jabari Parker and a 2023 second-round pick to the Wizards, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Chicago’s deal to acquire Washington’s Otto Porter for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker includes a 2023 second-round pick to the Wizards, league source tells ESPN.

Another big move saw the Dallas dealing Harrison Barnes to Sacramento for Zach Randolph and Justin Jackson. The trade happened as Barnes played against the Charlotte Hornets in what was apparently his last game with the Mavs.

Meanwhile, James Harden and the Houstonآ*Rockets sealedآ*a deal to acquire defensive specialist Iman Shumpert from the Kings in a three-way deal involvingآ*the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs dealt Alec Burks to Sacramento while Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin were sent to the Rockets.آ*

In return, Houston gave Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss and a protected 2019 first round pick to Cleveland.

Despite trades buzzing, Anthony Davis still remains with the New Orleans Pelicans as the deadline looms. Will NOLA be able to reach a deal with a team in time?آ*
