HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The state Department of Agriculture found dirty utensils,آ*pink and black slime, andآ*evidence of rodent activity during this week’s food safety inspections.

Ginza on Greenfield Road in Lancaster was out of compliance with 10 violations. The inspection report says food employees at the sushi bar were not washing their hands between tasks. Utensils that were supposed to be clean still had old food residue and grease on them, and raw shrimp was stored above cooked food in the reach-in cooler. The report says the person in charge failed in their managerial duties.

Charcoal’s Bar and Grill on Olde Hickory Road in Lancaster was out of compliance with 10 violations. The report says a food employee was preparing food without wearing a beard cover, pink and black slime was found on the ice maker, a brown, slimy residue was inside the scoop holder for the ice scoop, and old food residue was found on the can opener blade.

Country Garden 6-Pak Restaurant on Manor Street in Lancaster was out of compliance with two violations. The report says cardboard was being used on the stove surface, and there was evidence of rodent activity in the storage area.

Places with no violations include Brittle Bark in Mechanicsburg, Upper Dauphin Area Middle School, Annie Bailey’s Pub in Lancaster, and Newport Elementary School.
