Optimal-G Pro Robotic Gait Rehab System Unveiled

Motorika, a company out of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, is introducing its Optimal-G Pro robotic walking rehabilitation system at the**American Physical Therapy Association’s*Combined Sessions Meeting this week in Washington DC.

The device helps to train the walking gait of people who have suffered from a variety of neurological, neuromuscular, and other injuries. It does so by having the legs strapped into the robotic component and the so-called*Enhanced Learning Intelligence TEchnology (ELITE) adjusts the assistance it provides depending on each patient’s needs.
The patient is constantly monitored using front and side cameras, which gives therapists a clear look at each patient’s walking style and ability. The firm claims that the robot can match each person’s natural walking movements and therefore not feel restrictive.
