The cable network an**unced today the renewal of its freshman drama, Power, which is executive produced by Curtis Jackson (k**wn to most by his rapper name, 50 Cent) and just debuted Friday.

This quick renewal is on par with Starz's approach to original programming in the past. Kelsey Grammer's Boss, Spartacus and the Michael Bay-produced Black Sails all received second season renewals before premiering, with the latter receiving the good news a full six months before the show premiered in January.
