CPA signs deals to stabilize prices

RIYADH - The Consumer Protection Association (CPA) has signed an agreement with different food providers to fix the prices of 100 commodities in Ramadan and the following months, said CPA Chairman Nasser Al-Tuwaim. The move aims to curb the greed of some providers who take advantage of the approach of Ramadan and hike food prices, especially rice. He **ted that the CPA, in its study, found that Saudis consume SR20 billion worth of foodstuffs in Ramadan, compared with an average of SR7 billion in other months.
