Netflix 'Iron Fist' teaser shows us Danny Rand's goofy face-mask from the comics

It's been said many times before that what looks cool in the comics doesn't always translate on film. Here today with an object lesson in that idea is Netflix's latest teaser for Iron Fist Season 2, which also confirms (again (https://mashable.com/video/iron-fist-season-2-teaser-trailer/?utm_campaign&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source)) that the Marvel series will return on Sept. 7.

Just for the sake of comparison, the comic book version looks like this (http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Daniel_Rand_(Earth-616)?file=Daniel_Rand_(Earth-616)_from_Iron_Fist_Vol_3_1_0001.png). So as you can see, the Netflix version isn't too far off, style-wise. But it also reads very differently here.
