Hi just after some advice really - in common with many of you my usually very good summer field is brown and frazzled. All local old hay supplies are gone apart from one dealer who is selling old dusty hay which even after soaking the normally ravenous pony won?t eat. The big boys are refusing it also. I have my own new hay harvested 2 weeks ago. It was very dry when cut, baled and wrapped. Would you risk using it so sooner or shall I just resign myself to spending £££££ on the small bags of haylage which is all we can get nearby ! I have never spent so much on hay ..... Also when would you think it ok to turn them back out on hay field ? That would give me a bit of extra grazing though normally they wouldn?t go back on it till end of September Thanks in advance
