Miniature ponies v wildlife

Apologies for the nervous owner post .I am not used to mini's and am wondering if there is any wildlife that could be a danger to them . I am thinking of turning them out in a field that is out of sight but teams with wildlife as there is a pond and river in it.Will they be safe ?
