Twitter Changes Its Web Font; Cue a Twitter Freakout

The new font is Gotham Narrow SSm (http://www.typography.com/fonts/gotham/webfonts/gothamnarrssm-bold/). Gotham tends to be a popular font across the Internet and was used in Barack Obama's campaign (http://www.salon.com/2012/07/23/gotham_vs_mercury_the_presidential_campaign%E2%80% 99s_real_issues_salpart/). The new logo for One World Trade Center (http://www.graphicdesign.com/article/one-world-trade-center-new-logo/) also uses a Gotham variant.
