I have two ponies of my own, one being my daughter's lead rein pony, the other my retired veteran 28yo pony. My mum has given up riding and is keen for me to take over the reins on her 22yo Connie X TB. My old mare is on medication for Cushings. Basically I can only afford space and time for two horses, and they have to live in as we don't have loads of land. Therefore is the possibility mum and I could swap and my old girl live at hers , but my issue is if she needs attention for colic or something I'd not forgive myself for not being there. But then again, should I look the gift horse in the mouth? Really don't know what to do.
