London's transportation body an**unced (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2014/may/tfl-to-invite-high-court-to-rule-on-taximeters) Thursday that it has reviewed Uber's business and believes it meets the country's standards for operation. However, the group is still asking London's high court to rule on the issue once and for all.

"Apps can offer passengers the potential of better and more convenient services, but we must ensure that the highest standards of safety are being met," Leon Daniels, Transport For London's managing director of surface transport, said in a statement.
