Colours and change of temperament.

Has anyone experienced this before. Why would my mare take an instant dislike to her friend in this bright green rug unless past history somewhere or she can't recognise her in it. Any thoughts?When she does not wear it things are more peaceful. I will offer to buy a new fly rug and also paying for the Chiro this afternoon for them.
