Footy pony...

Daughters welsh section a came onto the yard looking abit footy this morning. He?s turned out in a bald patch/on the yard & despite living off air & being ridden or lunged 6 days a week- he is a little tubby. Can?t feel pulses currently but I?ve left him in and hay on soak. Is there anything I should look out for as I?m paranoid about this being laminitis? Despite having horses & ponies for 21 years I?ve as yet *touchwood* never had to deal with Lami! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
