The rare public ack**wledgement of a contract dispute from Amazon provides a brief insight into how the Internet giant sees the publishing market.

Last week, Amazon began to block preorders (http://mashable.com/2014/05/23/amazon-blocks-hachette/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_medium=feed&utm_source=rss) of upcoming books from the publisher. The company said in Tuesday's post that it had also started buying less inventory from Hachette.
