Jump Stirrups

Hi would like to find out about jump stirrups after my lesson last night my trainer advised on my flexi bend ones are not stable for my feet. I have a knee ACL injury recovering from so not strong in right leg. lots of hype with free form stirrups. I have a jump saddle and will be aiming to event end of season. Interested to hear your views.
