It's not quite "Alexa, play that one song I heard that time with no other details whatsoever," but it's close.

Amazon (https://mashable.com/category/amazon/) Echo users can now ask Alexa to play songs based on "time passed," according to The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/8/17094136/amazon-alexa-casual-music-searches-past-playlists-songs). That means Alexa will now be able to understand voice commands like "play that dinner playlist from last Saturday" or "play something I haven't heard in a while." That's right, Alexa is getting closer to achieving unity with our musical thoughts and needs.*

There's a catch, though: the casual time-passed commands only work with Amazon Music and Amazon Music Unlimited (https://mashable.com/2016/10/12/amazon-music-unlimited-streaming/), not services like Spotify or Apple Music. With Alexa's ability to set songs as wake-up alarms (https://mashable.com/2017/12/13/alexa-launches-musical-alarms/), create playlists on voice-command (https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/8/16992200/amazon-music-alexa-voice-command-playlist-feature), and play music based on moods (https://mashable.com/2017/08/05/amazon-alexa-mood-music-commands/) or events like "sexy time music," its stable of voice controls make it an appealing competitor in the streaming service market.
