Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ review: Outstanding in every way

My first thought after seeing the Galaxy S9 and S9+ (https://mashable.com/2018/02/25/samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-hands-on/) in person wasn't, "Oh, it's the same as the Galaxy S8 (https://mashable.com/2017/04/18/samsung-galaxy-s8-plus-review/)," but rather relief, "phew, it doesn't have a notch in its screen."
As Android phone makers trip over themselves (https://mashable.com/2018/03/01/android-phone-makers-give-up-copy-iphone-x/) to copy the iPhone X (http://www.mashable.com/category/iphone-x)'s most controversial feature, Samsung has wisely eschewed any top-to-bottom redesign for its latest flagship Android phones, and instead focused on fine-tuning all the details.
The S9's features are polished to a premium level that I've only ever seen on iPhones. The outside is familiar, but on the inside almost everything's all new.
