Feeding after sedation

My wee lad is having his feet done for the first time today - he's going to be sedated with some sedalin as a) he's not brilliant with new people, particularly men and b) he is still a work in progress when it comes to picking up feet nicely. He's only really been properly handled over the last month or so and as his feet are so bad, I think its best to sedate for the first trim.My question is: how long after should he be allowed to eat?
