Although I usually appreciate a pretty sprinkle of snow as much as anyone, I've reached the point now where I'm entirely done with this freak cold spell. Little Six is suddenly really feeling the cold today, to the point that I've had to double layer his rugs so that he's now wearing the equivalent of 500 grams, all of the water troughs bar one are empty due to frozen pipes, and poor Mary has been modelling massive ice balls in her feathers (what's left of them) for days. Thanks to said frozen troughs, I've also had to put all of the horses together - less than a month since Mary and Flower were separated! The horses themselves all seem delighted, and have happily assumed communal baby sitting duties, but that just means I'll now have to go through the process of splitting the pair of them all over again, and once was more than enough. Regardless, baby horse is very pleased with the arrangement, as you can see! It's a slightly odd angle because Mary is stood on a hill, but I actually think it came out very nicely. Despite the photo opportunities, I'd still be lying if I said I wasn't dreading splitting them up a second time after seeing how happy they are to be together again :( Curse this stupid Siberian weather!
