OK, but how about in your salad? A pink chicory called Radicchio del Veneto is lighting up Instagram feeds and restaurants with its photogenic, bright shades of pink.

The variety of radicchio is primarily grown in the Veneto region in Italy, but is also grown in California, Pennsylvania, and in other places around the U.S., according to Eater (https://ny.eater.com/2018/2/22/17039972/pink-lettuce-nyc-what-is-it), who dubbed its taste "slightly bitter, slightly sweet."*
