3D posts on Facebook just got a lot better

Support for 3D imagery on Facebook is growing. Last October, Facebook (https://mashable.com/category/facebook/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial) introduced interactive posts of 3D objects (https://mashable.com/2017/10/11/facebook-3d-post/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial) to its news feed. The social network rolled out support (https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2018/02/20/3d-posts-facebook/) for a new file format this week, which will make it even easier for users to share high-quality 3D images.*
The format, glTF 2.0 (https://www.khronos.org/gltf/), allows for more realistic rendering of objects' textures, and more detailed 3D art.*
