So, I have this winter placed the stupid goal at being at a certain stage in B?s schooling, fitness etc. I have beautifully failed. Cold weather isn?t an issue but wind and rain have been! He is reactive in the school and can be a stress ******. So, I have written off the rest of the winter/early spring. I have just about managed to keep him at a reasonable fitness. So my question is will hacking at weekends, one lunge session and one pootle round the school (think long and low-concentrating on rear end than anything in front) be enough to tick my horse over. He needs routine and can be a handful when not ridden. Working in any kind of frame is time consuming and I just don?t have the energy at the moment. Anyone else take a step back from actually achieving anything in the crappier months?Worse this year as work wise I have been going from one crisis to the next with very little in guarantee that I can be at the yard by a certain timeSorry if this is rambling... 😂
