Fastenings on rugs

I just wondered what the majority prefer on the front of rugs and if it influences you to buy or not.Which type of buckle or straps do you prefer. I prefer the surcingle fastenings best as the swivel clip/dog clips I find a pain and also add weight to the rug and after doing so many livery rugs this is my preference.I wont buy rugs with the swivel clip for that reason. What is yours
