Tack to feel safe....equestrian sin or justified safety measure? As title says really: say, if I was to have 2 sets of reins - one attached to a snaffle and one attached to a sidepull or hackamore - as well as obviously all the usual safety stuff (hat, gloves, hi vis and body protector for me, and boots and hi vis for the horse) is this justified if it lets me go out and realise my horse isn't going to kill me (no sh ! t sherlock) and have fun together, or is it unfair on the horse and unnecessary? Having a bit of an internal ethical debate here and would appreciate guidance! :confused:
