My dog hates getting her nails clipped. Haaaaates it. I've tried everything, and not a single trick, bribe, or sly maneuver gets me remotely close to trimming a single one of her talon-like claws. But, ladies and gentlemen, I sure never thought to try this.
According to Kendal Peifer, who posted photographic evidence on Twitter, her dad came up with the most ridiculous solution to a problem that I've ever encountered . . . and I'm legitimately thinking of trying it. "My dog hates his nails getting clipped, so my dad literally bought a purse and cut holes in it," she wrote.
And that's just what he did. The key supplies required are the aforementioned handbag and scissors, but that's not all: Mr. Peifer also suspended the doggie bag (get it?) on a pull-up bar affixed to the top of a door frame . . . and used a trusty head lamp to get the job done. Oh, and as unhappy as their pet might have been, he certainly took the offense in stride.
