16 more bone marrow victims surface

HAFIZABAD: About 16 more woman victims of the bone marrow case surfaced here on Tuesday. According to DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Rehan Azhar, sixteen more victims had been traced and signs of injections were found on different parts of their bodies and their samples had been sent to the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory. On the other hand, police have arrested one more accused - sanitary worker Sajid of the DHQ Hospital ? in the case. It has been decided that polygraphic test of ringleader Nadeem Iqbal and Sajid would be conducted shortly. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Ghais Gull, police are probing the case. On Monday, the police busted a four-member gang after reports surfaced that it had illegally extracted spinal fluid from women under the pretext of medical checkup.
