RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commanders Conference Wednesday observed that national interest shall be kept at premium while cooperating with all other stakeholders for regional peace and stability. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired the 208th Corps Commanders' Conference which was held here at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday. While terming the Indian ceasefire violations as detrimental to peace, the forum maintained that any Indian misadventure shall be responded effectively. ?Indian CFVs (ceasefire violations) are detrimental to peace, however, these or any Indian misadventure shall be responded effectively,? the corps commanders observed. ?The forum reviewed geo-strategic and security environment, especially in the context of US security-related policies for the region,? the ISPR said. Progress of operation Raddul Fasad and increased Indian cease fire violations were also discussed. The forum reiterated that gains of years long counter terrorism efforts shall be consolidated to achieve enduring peace and stability both for Pakistan and the region.
