Rugs and Weather

Hey I'm Soph and I've just got my first horse yay! She's a 15.1hh cob x ISH. Unclipped at the moment. And she's stabled with turnout in the morning. I've been riding since I was 2 and I'm 16 now but I'm still struggling to know which rugs to put on her in different weather conditions. I don't want to over rug her. I live in Essex and as usual the weather keeps changing its mind. Has anyone got any tips on which weight/type of rug to put in different temperature's. Thankyou
