LONDON: The Kashmir Campaign Global has announced that it has launched ?bleeding paradise, let Kashmir choose? publicity campaign on Indian-Held Kashmir to show to Britons and international visitors what Indian government under Narendra Modi is doing to the oppressed people of Kashmir.
On Friday, digital vans started patrolling stress of London adorned with pictures and slogans highlighting massive human rights abuses in Kashmir by Indian occupation army. Vans carried slogans such as ?Bleeding Paradise, where freedom has a price?, Bleeding paradise, where rape is the weapon?, ?thousands of Kashmiri women have been the victim?, ?save Kashmir, save humanity?, ?over 95 thousand innocent Kashmiris innocents killed?.
Ground graffiti commissioned by Kashmir Campaign Global was also launched in London?s iconic Trafalgar Square to create awareness about the Kashmir issue. The digital vans went across dozens of important central London locations and then made their way to Indian High Commission where Sikhs and Kashmiris came together for a large and noisy protest against the Indian regime. Zaffar Quraishi, chairman of Kashmir Campaign Global, said that the digital campaign will go on for the whole year to create awareness about the Kashmir issue and to show the western world what India is doing in Kashmir through use of force.
He said all Indian governments have conspired to kill over 95,000 people and the number of missing persons stands at over 10,000.
Zaffar Quraishi told this scribe that the people of Kashmir are a peace-loving people and demand what is rightfully theirs and have been promised for 70 years ? the basic human right ? right to freedom and right to choose but India has denied them that basic right. He said that war between India and Pakistan is not solution to this issue, neither can the issue be resolved bilaterally, Kashmir issue is an international issue and must include people of Kashmir as core party to any dialogue related to the solution to Kashmir issue.
Zaffar Quraishi said that the situation of minorities and the atmosphere of fear they are living under is not portrayed in the media as the magnitude and there is no coverage of Kashmir conflict in Indian media, hence he decided to launch the campaign to inform the West about India?s crimes against humanity. He said that the extreme views shared by the ruling class about majority?s Hindu identity and incidence of reprisal have caused fear psychosis in minorities like Muslims, Christians and Dalits. Open slaying of people who eat beef or are transporting bovines is a stark example of how India has become intolerant and unacceptable,? he said. He hoped that the ?bleeding paradise? campaign will help raise awareness of the mass human rights violations taking place in Indian-Held Kashmir and ensure the masses are educated about their role in creating a peaceful world. He said that Indian government has already shut down social media platforms linked with his own organisation.
?Indian government is using draconian laws to suppress the voices of people, facebook pages that highlight the atrocities committed by Indian forces have been blocked in Kashmir including Kashmir Campaign facebook page.The people of Kashmir express their gratitude for the support that international community especially the British people have demonstrated during the uprising of 2016 as well as after, but this support must continue and the government of UK as well as the governments of other countries must unite and seek a peaceful solution,? said the Kashmiri campaigner.
