Naqeebullah was innocent: inquiry report to SC

KARACHI: The inquiry committee investigating Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case submitted an initial report to the Supreme Court on Friday stating that he was killed in a fake encounter.In its 15-page report, the committee declared Naqeebullah innocent and rejected suspended SSP Malir Rao Anwar?s claims in the light of the evidences. The report said Naqeebullah and two other men, identified as Qasim and Hazrat Ali, were picked up by police on January 3. The other two men were set free after three days on January 6 after payment of bribes. These men have now become eye-witnesses in the case and documented their statements before the inquiry committee.
