Apparently I am competent now!

I'm not sure I'm convinced, but after several set backs and having only picked up the reins for the first time in the summer, today I passed my driving competency test. Its something you have to do before you can compete, and hopefully means I can make the last indoor event of the season. We had a lesson, ran through the dressage test driving with the reins coachman style, which is in one hand. I was terrible, but he helped me out, then we did a quick spin round some obstacles, and I then let the work experience girl hop in to cool him off while I did the theory part of the assessment. So he went from flat out, exciting accelerating and turning to plodding round with a total beginner. I've lost count a bit now, but there have been at least 10 people who have driven for the first time with him, got out beaming and full of enthusiasm for driving. Hes on a one pony crusade to convert riders into drivers! He is just an out and out superstar, well unless he gets anything with cereals or sugar in, but the less said about that the better! :lol: And just because I'm very, very proud of him and there must be at least 2 of you that havent seen these pics, this is him when I bought him (from the infamous horse auction site on facebook on New Years Day) compared with him a few months later after we got him sound and well again.
