Samsung's not the only one reportedly (http://mashable.com/2017/11/21/samsung-galaxy-s-launching-january/) working on a foldable phone (http://www.mashable.com/category/foldable-phones?utm_campaign&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source). LG might be developing one, too.

GSMInfo (https://www.gsminfo.nl/blog/nieuws/11290/ontwerppatent-toont-doorontwikkeling-opvouwbare-telefoon-van-lg) (via The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2018/1/19/16908854/lg-patent-folding-device-phone-tablet)) has discovered an patent with illustrations that hint at what the Korean electronics giant's foldable phone might look like.

The patent was filed (http://www.wipo.int/designdb/hague/en/showData.jsp?&SOURCE=HAGUE&KEY=D097157&LANG=en&NO=8&TOT=905) in July 2017 and made public last week on Jan. 12. It describes "a mobile phone with a flexible display which can be folded in half."*

There's not much in terms of detailed hypothetical use-cases (as is usually the case with most patents), but the included illustrations do provide some fodder for the imagination. Read more... (http://mashable.com/2018/01/19/lg-foldable-phone-patent/)
