Justin Timberlake gets political with 'Supplies' music video

Justin Timberlake released the second single, "Supplies," off his new album, Man of the Woods, Thursday. It comes with a politically charged music video that doesn't quite fit the lyrics of the song.
"Supplies" is catchy, featuring elements of trap music thrown behind lyrics about how Timberlake is a good guy and generous lover; he can take care of the women in his life because he got supplies. Those aren't bad themes, but they don't pair well with what's in the music video.
The video starts with Timberlake watching several news broadcasts at once, showing images of alleged serial sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein, protests, people holding up #MeToo signs, images of war, and what appears to be a white-hooded member of the KKK. Most of the rest of the video has Timberlake participating in various protests and gatherings, with some other less political scenes thrown in to cleanse the palate. Read more...
