Haylage help..!!

My field landlord has just informed my friend and I that all of the hay we usually buy from him is gone and we only have access to haylage now.I've never used haylage before and wonder if it's going to be suitable (large hay bales are pretty hard to come by and storing them is a bit of a nightmare, little bales would probably bankrupt us!!) or if I should try to source hay if possible. Horses are a 13 year old TB X Cob who is maintaining weight ok, won't be in work for another 6 weeks and the other is an 18 year old French Draft (Breton) who is a very good doer, also currently out of work.Many thanks:)
