Best make of turnout rug for New Forest ponies

You know, the flat back, no wither chunky sort!Suggestions please.I know they are native, and unclipped will survive just fine without, but I'll have to clip the wee chunk, and re-hog his mane!Talking of clipping, I've got to clip a 12.2, hairy thing. The hair is matting up by his girth, so was only going to do neck and belly.. but his coat isn't clean and dry in preparation, are there any tips I can do or try to do the job?Thanks.
