End stage liver failure.

Just got off the phone with the vet about my 20yo Fell pony mare's blood tests. I was looking for a Cushing's diagnosis due to her curly coat, sweating, excessive drinking and urination and recent massive and ongoing weight loss but got an additional result of end stage liver failure. :( Nothing to be done about it at this point but hold her in a limbo for a few more weeks which I won't do. Has anyone else had experience of this?
