Peter Thiel has reportedly made an offer to buy Gawker.*
That's right, the billionaire who funded the Hulk Hogan lawsuit that shuttered the website wants to pick at its bones, Reuters reported on Thursday (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-gawker-thiel/peter-thiel-submits-bid-for-gawker-faces-challenges-idUSKBN1F02V2) citing "people familiar with the matter."

This isn't a total surprise. He filed a motion in November (http://mashable.com/2017/11/22/peter-thiel-buy-gawker/) claiming he was being unfairly prevented from bidding on the site.*
A representative for Thiel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Thiel is competing with other bidders to acquire Gawker domain names and nearly 200,000 archived articles, according to Reuters.
