Perhaps internet commentary would be better if we had to send it through the mail instead.

One grandma, at least, makes a great case for replacing social media with snail mail. Her grandson, Redditor Yaleisthecoolest (https://www.reddit.com/user/Yaleisthecoolest), wrote in a post (https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/7p3yr6/my_grandmother_is_too_old_for_social_media_so_she/?st=jc7p9udq&sh=587d8f3f) Monday that his grandmother "clips things out of the newspaper in her small town, and mails them to [his] mother so they can discuss them, annotated with 90yo hot takes."

Friends, think of this incredible new world. Instead of firing off whatever you want on Twitter, you'd have to find an envelope, buy a stamp, seal everything up and — get this — travel to the post office to get your takes out there.
