The hotel industry is making a move in the growing battle between established companies and new, short-term rentals websites
Airbnb (http://mashable.com/category/airbnb?utm_campaign=&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=), which has a valuation of around $10 billion (http://mashable.com/2014/04/26/new-york-vs-airbnb/?utm_campaign=&utm_context=textlink&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=), has been on hotel owners' radar for some time. But so far, the wildly successful short-term rental booking site has managed to avoid significant conflict with the industry.
