Well, that was an interesting ride!

Had a quick half hour to whizz my mare out this afternoon in the lovely wind. First we had to negotiate the landrover and trailer parked on the track with a nice flapping tarpaulin. Coming down to cross the stream the NT were burning the gorse they'd been cutting so a nice bonfire to avoid. Up the hill we were trotting nicely then she stuck her head up to look at something and we'd disturbed the herd of forest ponies that set off in front of us. The coloured sh&tland also came charging towards throwing some delightful shapes. Fortunately one of the lead ponies was one of mine, so I called her, she stopped and they all slowed up too. Very bouncy ride today and relieved to get back to the field. :) Anyone else had exciting rides today?
