I kept my horses at a house I was living in whilst I was in Ireland last year, but for one reason and another, I've had to return to UK. I am planning my escape again, but before I set the wheels in motion, can someone please advise me on a few matters? There didn't seem to be anyone to take my muck heap away and yet the council seemed to want me to remove it and also to have it on a concrete base to prevent contamination. I also read that I have to have planning permission to change the use of an agricultural building to stables, which seems crazy given that it is just a different animal. How has anyone else got on that is in this position? The house I have in mind has loads of outbuildings and I would say that some of them are old stables anyway that most likely need just new doors and a lick of paint. What does everyone do with their muck heaps?
