Asthmatic horse

Hi allMy 25 year old cob has asthma for a few years & seems particularly bad this year. I tried several respiratory supplements but didn't really help . Vet has given ventapaulmin which has worked instantly but has suggested giving human asthma treatment via baby asthma chamber. I know there are various human asthma puffers - some red & some blue - not sure what the difference is and are any better than others .Thank you
