Three convicted of housing scheme fraud

LAHORE: n Accountability Court on Friday awarded seven-year jail term each to three person over the charges of looting public at large in a housing scheme fraud. The court has convicted Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Jameel and Fiaz Ahmad, owners of a housing society. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs19 million on each convict. The court has declared fourth owner of society namely Muhammad Amin proclaimed offender. As per case details, National Accountability Bureau in 2013 had filed a reference against the convicts after receiving more than hundred complaints. The convicts had embezzled more thanRs80 million through selling fake files of the housing society.
