ECRA proposes fuel price increase

RIYADH - The Electricity Co-generation and Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is planning to send a proposal to higher authorities recommending that fuel prices be increased, said ECRA Gover**r Abdullah Al-Shehri. "Fuel prices should be increased in a way that creates good competition for the companies that will submit tenders to generate electricity," Al-Shehri added. Current prices do **t allow for a big profit margin and they do **t encourage the companies to bid for ECRA tenders.
